With this new adapter GNS extends its successful product portfolio. As world-wide the first enterprise developed the company from Germany TMC- and GPS/TMC receivers, which are used for portable dynamic navigation equipment.
The GNS FM9 extends mobile navigation systems with integrated GPS receiver with RDS/TMC functionality. With help of the GNS FM9 the received traffic messages are through-handed to the navigation software, these can again compute an alternative route with consideration of the new traffic conditions and avoid the traffic jam.

1x Antenna with 2.5mm jack connector
This TMC receiver can also be used to receive commercial Pay-TMC-services. But please keep in mind that your GPS/TMC-software also needs to support the service you want to use.

The TMC receiver works well with Mapfactor Navigater. But no information about comport settings made some problems. Use 38400 baud and hardware flow to get it to work with navigator. Also, I missed a program to test. No help at producers web page. I can, however, recommend this TMC receiver.

GNS FM9 Tmc Empfänger
Der FM9 ist ein guter TMC Empfänger ,nur der Empfang mit der beiliegenden Wurfantenne ist
eher Minimalistisch.
Ich hab emir einen Y Adapter zusammengebastelt womit der Empfang sehr Stabil ist.
Könnte der Hersteller auch mal anbieten!!
Ansonsten Problemloser Betrieb.

Guter Empfang . Einfache Installation . Gutes Produkt. Habe ein Radio ohne TMC Funtion im CarPC nun wird das TMC nach geruestet.
Lieferung, Funktion des Gerätes und Kontakt sehr gut. Allerdings finde ich den Preis von knapp 50 Euro für einen TMC USB Stick ziemlich überteuert. Zumal keine Beschreibung dabei war und ich den Treiber mühselig aus dem Internet bei GNS (in englisch) raussuchen musste !
